Maxspect has a controller for its XF230 and XF250 Gyres. Icecap 1k, 2k, etc. Gyres also has its own controllers.

They say these controllers are not compatible, but I'd ask why can't you use, say, the XF250 controller with the XF230 pump? Is it just that the different pumps have different voltage/amp requirements? Would any of the gyre controllers work with the icecap pumps?

You are correct in that the Maxspect gyre controllers have to match the power ratings for the given pump.

I can't be sure, but I don't believe the Maxspect controllers will work with an Icecap pump. Icecap sells a special controller for use with Maxspect pumps so I suspect either the wiring pinout or power ratings are different.

Yeah, that’s what they said as well. Thanks!
