Icecap nano k1 skimmer not bubbling

Hey y’all was wondering if anyone can help me out I just installed a skimmer into my reef tank and it’s not bubbling I put it all together and adjusted the skimmers flow correctly and it’s not bubbling. Am I missing something?

*** update I fix that issue and now I can’t stop it from overflowing no matter what direction I turn the knob and I’ve also adjusted the height bring it out of the water more and even submersing it more and it still over flows. Anybody thinks they can help let me know otherwise, I’m gonna return it.

Yes I just took everything apart and put it back together and now it won’t stop overflowing no matter what way I adjust it to

Open the valve and lower the water level to just about the beginning of the neck curve, then slowly tune it in over the next few days little by little.

Yea it doesn’t t matter what I do it over flows

With wet bubbles? Maybe your sump water level is too high for it. Can you raise the skimmer on a piece of egg crate or something. Just don't create a dead spot of no water flow.

That might not be the best skimmer for you in your AIO. I made the assumption you had a below tank sump. And with the outflow butted up against the side of the chamber that flow might be impeded

I have one in an AIO. It's a beast. It pulls the driest filthiest skimmate.

It was a beeeeotch to break in though.

I had to mount it inside the display using the mounting magnet that way it would over flow into the tank. After 24 hours it calmed down and started pulling crud. But if OP's tank is new it's not going to break in for a long time. He needs wait until there is waste to skim if it is a new tank.

I can’t put mine that deep in the tank or it will overflow. I literally Have to have it this high. I messed with it for hours yesterday. The directions say the bottom of the pump has to be 6-9 inches deep I can’t do that or it over flows. I also noticed it is putting air bubbles in the water Column not sure if it’s supposed to do that ethier

How new is your tank? You can't get a skimmer to break in if your tank is clean/new.

I have the same one in my bc32.

Let it overflow back into the tank for a few days to break in, then try adjusting again. It needs to get dirtier to work.

Tanks of fine I’ve already dumped a full cup of brown coffee looking skimate. The problem is it is blowing bubbles into the tank now my entire sump area is bubbles

It's a bubble machine for a while. Don't know what to tell you on that front.

Update, it’s running great now! No more extra bubbles it ocasionally over flows and after a water change it takes a few hours to days to get back to normal

Turn it off Hor a few hours after.
