So I'm not finding much information about them and hit or miss reviews. Most review complain about the setup and say it should just have a simple on/off quick setup.

I'm setting up a Marineland 75 gallon cornerflo aquarium and need some type of circulation other than that provided by a Jabeo DCP-6500 from the 30 gallon sump.

Anyone know what models would be good for me? Not sure if I should go with (2) 2k or some other combo. I'm just starting out and want something to get me by for a year or so until I figure things out.

Have you looked into the WaveEngine? It gives you the ability to run the Icecap Gyres through the use of a single device via the app. I plan on adding a controller 4, wave engine and 2 4K’s to my current 125 build. It seems like a pretty slick setup but I haven’t run them yet.

I think that is the setup. Its whatever the newer wifi module is that can control (2) units. I read some reviews of people giving them 1 stars complaining about how hard it is to setup. I'm also possibly considering the AI Nero 5.

Ah, I see.

You may have seen this but here’s some recent input on the Nero 5

I have the icecap 2k. Love the flow from it. The wifi setup is simple if you follow the video instructions on youtube. For a 75 I would either do 2 2ks or a 4k.

The real issue is how you design your presets to do what you want and at what power.

First is this page:

Which I think dictates what percent your pump flows at compared to its overall strength. Overall kinda confused on what the purpose is.

Then there is this page:

Which lets you pick a flow type and at what power to run your pump at, not to difficult to understand.

and then this page:

Which lets you pick when your pumps turn on to day/night cycles.
Over all if you have a standard wifi connection and a smart device setting up the pump isn’t to bad it’s customizing the flow that requires some time to get under control.

The only thing i dont like, is if the wifi module goes out, there is no manual control at all, and you have a expensive brick. at least with like the Nero, there is some control outside of the app to get you by.

That a good point.
