Today I discovered that my tank has contracted marine ich. My royal gramma and 1 of my clowns have visual symptoms (white spots, itching on rocks). I don't know how to handle this, new to reefing - tank is almost 3 months old now. I do not know what caused it, I haven't added anything other than inverts recently and my parameters have been stable for over a month (no swings at all). I have been doing reading on it and I am not totally sure how to handle it. I have two jawfish, two clownfish, a royal gramma, a brittle star, misc hermits and crabs, a cleaner shrimp, and two frags of GSP.

Should I purchase a 20 gallon quarantine and go fallow for 3-4 months? Would putting them all in quarantine just stress them out worse?
Take a loss on my inverts and GSP by using the hypo-salinity method to kill off the ich?

I really need some advice here.

This article can help you decide your next move:

Looking at your stock list I don't think your fish would suffer too much in a 20 gallon for a period of time. I've had to go fallow twice and it isn't fun, but I think in your scenario it's a good idea if you plan to quarantine moving forward.

Quarantine is best
