@Humblefish

I’m in day 10 of my quarantine process and I am still seeing ich on both tangs. I have been using copper power at 2.5ppmand daily testing with Hanna checker. Also in the last two days my yellow tang has developed a swollen eye and fuzzy lips.
Is this normal to still see ich on day 10 ?
Can I treat medication during copper treatment to help with the yellow tang bacteria infections?

How long have you been at full strength copper? Post ten days is pretty unusual. Are you 100% it is ich? Does your water check out fine?

Can you post a picture/short video?

You can sometimes treat antibiotics along with copper, but I'd like to see the fish first, just to get a better idea as to what is going on.

full strength copper started on the 17th. I am not sure it’s ich maybe Velvet. I am planning I using copper for 30 days to be sure but I was just concerned with the yellow tang fuzzy lip and popeye.
should I use metroplex, kanaplex, or focus as a preventive measure ?
My wife took the video while I’m at work. This is the best I can do at the moment.

The yellow tang doesn't look too bad, just slightly elevated respiration rate. I don't think it is velvet. The purple tang has issues, but it is tough to get a clear view. Have you treated the tank for flukes yet?

There are lots of particles in the tank - is that food? You don't want to let that build up. What size tank is it, seems to be pretty densely stocked.

Skip the focus idea unless you dose it properly: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/fish-weight-calculator-medicated-fish-food-mix-calculator.814591/

The purple tang started looking a bit pale today but those particular is the water filter creating micro bubbles. The tank is a 40g breeder and I have it divided for both tangs so that if their stressed out they don’t attack each other. I was planning on treating for flukes after the copper treatment was completed. I am confused as to what I am doing wrong the the tangs are not getting better. I do 5gal water change every three days that is dosed with copper to match 2.5. I keep the tank at 77F temp and salinity at 34ppm. Ammonia badge is yellow the whole time so what else could it be ?

I know, this is a tough one. Just tossing this out there - what about trying a 5 minute freshwater dip on the purple tang? If it is flukes or velvet, you get some temporary relief for it. You may also see flukes in the dip water, confirming that.

Ok thanks I’ll try that.
