Ich and qt

Current situation: quarantining a yellow tang for 3 weeks just to find out today that the display tank has ich. Now I have to qt the display. How long can the yellow tang remain in a 10 gallon qt?

With or without copper? How many other fish from your display will be going into the QT? If it's just the yellow tank your ok, otherwise I would say no more then 3-4 fish in total.

Sounds a bit familiar. I'm really really liking my decision to get a 55G tank for QT. Not terribly expensive, easy to filter and gives 48" of span for fish to move around in.

With copper 5 fish in total but it will be in a separate container. Had to go buy a rugged Rubbermaid tote that can hold 30 gallons.

Just stay on top of water changes, cleaning filter every 2 days.
