I got 3 tangs the other day at lfs.
Yellow belly blue tang
Sailfin
Yellow eye kole
Plus a wrasse

There in a 55gallon qt.
First week good.
Seen ich after that on hippo and sailfin treated with ich x. Went away after treating for four days. Sailfin in the first day and blue hippo on day 3. Treated one more day. Now it’s back with a vengeance 5x more ich on them plus the kole tang has it. Even seen the sailfin swing in front of the power head just like my powder blue did before it died 3 days later.
I treated with ich x again.
Any advice?

I have had success with Copper Power leave in for 30 days at 2.0, what's good with using this product is usually once dosage is added you rarely have to add it again. Get a copper kit API etc Good Luck!

I would run a parameter test & make sure all levels are green. My experience is that meds work well when water quality is in good shape. I like running my qt temps around 82-83, lower gravity & meds for 4 to 5 weeks depending the medication being used. I’ve noticed that ich becomes more aggressive on the 2nd cycle of reproduction. I good diet helps tons too & I also get help by having a cleaner wrasse in the qt. I’ve had nightmare experiences with ich & I throw everything at it but the kitchen sink. A parasite infection can drain your wallet fast. Hopefully that helps & good luck.

You need to use copper power and and ramp up to 2.0ppm over the next couple days. If you have a second sterile tank you can transfer them out of copper after 14 days, if not leave them in copper for 30 days. Ich X will not eradicate ich and Tangs are very susceptible to it.

3 days is not enough.. and to get rid off all ich in your main tank you need to starve the ick to death. Read about the life cycle of the ich and you will understand a lot more on how to kill ich .. first you need to take all not only the fish you see with ich but all of them .. and place them on a QT . I use cuppermine at .5 for 6 weeks .. the bottle tell you 14 days .. but if you only quarantined for 14 days then put back on your main tank your fish wll get ick again.. the purpose of quarantine your fish for that long is to have your main tank with no fish for a minimum of 6 weeks .. that is how long ick life cycle lasts.. you can’t kill ick when they are attached to your fish .. you can’t kill ick when they are on the egg stage.. you can only kill ich when they are free swimming. That is when they drop from the fish to put the egg. .. ok so more about this. If you see your fish with ich one day and the after you did you treatment ick came back is bcoz now the egg are hatched and is more ich in your tank .. ick don’t eat anything but fish .. so no fish no food they die .. but that takes 6 weeks minimum.. I hope this help you understand a bit more .. sorry for the misspelling I’m not a English teacher lol ..

And don’t let anyone tell you ich is always in your tank .. that is total BS you need to introduce ich to your system. ich maybe in Your lfs tank but not in yours .even by adding anything wet in your tank you can introduce ich my advice qt everything dip your corals clean your rock . Be patient
