Hi y’all. Sad news, just lost all of my fish to a combo of velvet & ich, very sad about it.

Two questions because I’m finding conflicting info, the only non crab/snail I have left is my cleaner shrimp, will I be able to go through the 70 or so day period with these snails crabs and the shrimp in there or will the ich & velvet still be around after with these guys there ?

additionally, and sorry if this is the wrong area for this, but I just found these on my coral before lights turned on. I think it’s ich eggs but I want to make sure.

for anyone wondering, I lost a Royal gramma, a rust angel, a tomato clown, & a green dragonet.

First you you can leave all that snails crabs and shrimp for the fallow period. Ich needs a FISH host. Second I pretty positive they are not ich eggs as they are microscopic and can’t see with naked eye. I think what you are seeing there is snail eggs can’t remember which ones but I got thousands

Never seen them on corals before normally see it on the black acrylic so didn’t even cross my mind. Thanks so much !

Ich only infects fish so you can leave all other animals in your system. Those will be too large for ich cycts. Here's a good paper on Ich by the University of Florida if you want a more authorative source of information:

Spirorbi worms. I have them everywhere.
