So I have ich in my display tank, I have tried using a herbal medication my LFS recommended but at the end of treatment recommended they have got better but not fully cleared. I'm going to get a uv sterilizer as I have heard good reports keeping it at bay. My thought process is treating the tank with copper and removing it with carbon and a big water change or taking the fish out and set up at QT tank to treat them but I have an eel in the DT but I dont think I'll beable to catch him ! This will always be a fish only tank. What's your thoughts ?

Had that 3 years ago
Pulled every fish and left it fish free for 90 days
And copper treated them any new fish go thought cooper in a qt tank never do it any other way...
Going to struggle getting this eel but if it has to be done it has to be done. Thanks for your help

Coppers are really bad for eels. They need to be TTM or CP. TTM will work just fine for Ich, where as CP will work for Ich, velvet, etc.

These may help as well:

The main link: https://www.reef2reef.com/forums/fish-disease-treatment-and-diagnosis.771/

This one helps with deciding which copper (ionic or chelated), TTM or CP is the best to treat fish with parasites.
