Looks like one staghorn damsel has a white spot on the tip of its tail. Assuming ich. I have some ich plus I can treat qt tank. Don't really want to do copper as there are a few snails in there plus the sand.
Tank is 37 gal, 2 hob filters, including 1 with uv
light sand on bottom, fake plants and pvc, container of rock rubble
I'm assuming once I've treated the fish however, I'll have to empty the tank and wash it out. Too big to haul outside unless I get hubby to help me. Will letting the tank sit dry take care of the ick? Same with the filters. Let them dry out--maybe put them in the sun for a day. And what about all the biomedia? Do I just let those dry out as well? Replace?
I don't want to let it sit fallow. Or can I just keep using rid ich with each batch of fish or something else.
What is the best, easiest way to proceed. I don't have another qt tank set up. I do have a 10 gal but can't put all the fish in there. So far, this batch of 4 anthias and 6 damsels have made it almost 2 weeks without losing a fish. Maybe treat and if all still good, put them in the display tanks to get them out of the qt?
