Ich in reef tank! Help!

Could it be some other disease? The spots are very pale today. I’m unable to get pics. The fish is too fast.

Hmmmm.... If they're pale and countless it could be a sign of brook, which is more common on clownfish than ich. Hopefully you get a more clear picture soon. That would be helpful.

If it looks like this (what my clown had) it’s probably brook.

I doubt it’s brook I had this fish for 3 weeks usually brooks is shown earlier. Also is tap water with dechlorinator fine for qt

Going to the store to get a tank now. Any last minute comments.
Grab a sponge, a bottle of dr tims, an air pump, and a heater, if you don't have already. For convenience, you may want to consider an ammonia alert badge. Then fill the sucker up and throw the clowns in!

How about bio balls? I don’t plan on adding the rocks back to my dt, they are in the sump so I have other to replace as well as spare bio balls. How would you recommend to seed the tank with beneficial bacteria, I can’t get dr trims or fritz in time. I only have a Petco nearby to pick up a tank and bio booster bottle. I don’t have time to do water changes each day as well.

I use bio-spire for QT. I see no reason to use more advanced bacteria that take longer to cycle like I would my DT. I am not sure if bioballs will absorb copper or not. I personally use a sponge filter that's connected to an air pump. Some meds(not copper) are known to cause some bacterial blooms that can remove large amounts of oxygen from the tank. So these kill 2 birds with 1 stone for me.

I use a large one for extra surface area, but I'm not sure if it's a big deal. I just do it to be safe in case some meds kill some of my beneficial bacteria. They are less than $10, but you need an air pump with them, which you can also get super cheap.

So basically the air being pumped into it goes out the top, which creates a very light siphon and draws water through the filter. It's very mild, but seems to be enough to keep the ammonia out.

I only do water changes for nitrates which right now is currently between QTs because my fish only spend 2 weeks in my "hospital" tanks, before going into an observation tank(my old 25g cube DT) for 2 weeks.

I wouldnt use tap water. Pending how big your DT is and how big your QT will be, take the water from your main display and use it to fill up the QT. Think of it as a water change for the DT :)
