So im treating my blue tang and lunar wrasse for what i assume is ich in my old 40 gallon tank which used to be my main tank but had to become a quarantine before I could fully take it down. Anyways theres a few rocks in it i want to use for my 125. Are these going to be infected if so can I quarantine the rock or take it out and let it dry for a few days to kill ich or something ?

i should remove all rocks and sand before dosing copper correct? Thanks

Yes, there is more than likely encysted Cryptocaryon on and in the rocks as well as sand bed. The system (rocks) should be left without fish for a minimum of 34 days but best time is 72/76 days. It can usually survive drying too, so letting it go fallow to starve out is best. Also yes you should not have substrate in quarantine, if your wrasse needs some sand a Tupperware of sand works.
