So I have an outbreak...so bad I can see it on the glass and floating in the water column. I have lost most of my fish over a 2 week period.

I have 4 fish remaining that are impossible to remove unless I break down everything and then catch them.

Curiously, the remaining 4 have NO visible Ice and are eating, breathing...doing everything normally.

I know I need to run the tank fallow for about 80 days once there are no fish, but these fish seem to be immune.

What can I do?

they will get sick eventually, its not sure fire but I know of the best reef safe treatment for tanks with inverts or corals due to how worried I have been over not having a QT tank yet.

Kick Ich, FW dips and Rally baths (helpful but may not be needed), MetroPlex w Focus (has to be eaten). This treatment doesn't usually lead to bother corals all too much and will help, it will NOT work without Kick Ich and a medicated food like MetroPlex w Focus.

There are rumors Kick ich doesn't work, this is half true. It kills free swimming ich by binding it, but doesn't cure fish nor kill eggs and doesn't always work as well as copper. MetroPlex with focus can kill ich on the fishes body and stop secondary infection.

I imagine you are seeing pods on the glass, ich is microscopic. However, some fish do build immunity to the parasite with excellent water conditions and great nutrition. In the event of a stress situation or fluctuating conditions, ich can rear its ugly head. Adding new fish in the future could pose problematic.

Copper or CP (which is challenges to source) need to be administered in QT for 30 days and DT must remain fallow for 76 days to eradicate the parasite.

Nothing is "immune" to ich, they are just strong enough to fight off the infection for now. In the absence of a QT, you can use Kick Ich and Metroplex for a fairly extended period to remove Ich from DT

fish can build immunity to the parasite, doesn't mean it's a permanent fix, but it has definitely been proven that with a healthy diet and supreme water condition certain fish can combat it. However, come a stressful event, ich can come back with full vengeance.

If there are fish there is blood for the ich to survive. Personally would get a uv, feed well, keep things low stress and move forward

Any pics of fish under white lights? I had doesn’t femree gloat as they host in fish and trophants reach the sand bed temporarily

Get them in qurantine and leave tank fallow for 80 days. Eradicate ich so you'll never have to worry about it again.
