This ^^ is good advice and what I would say as well. However.... this tank has ick right? The eel can certainly get it and be a carrier for it. Everyone has to come out of the tank for the fallow period to begin. He can be treated easier for the pop eye in QT anyway. Also something to think about. If they spots are going away right now it's because they are dropping off the body to multiply. Hypo doesn't kill the white dots on the fish. They are too deeply buried under the skin of the fish for hypo or even copper to kill them while they are on the fish.
so are you saying hypo will never cure white spot??and what dosage and treatment do i use one my eel

Now the best way to rid the eel 100% of ich is TTM.[/QUOTE but it hasn't got any visible white spot...and that seems very hard setting up multiple tanks etc......now how do you treat with epson salts??

This was originally (To my knowledge) posted by Melypr1985:

Epsom Salt: Treats eye and other injuries. Popeye in one eye usually means injury, but popeye in both eyes usually denotes a bacterial infection requiring antibiotic treatment. Cloudy eye can be a bacterial infection or flukes.

How To Treat - 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons of aquarium water. Repeat only once, if necessary. Use only “USP” grade Epsom salt.

Pros - Reef safe, as Epsom salt is just magnesium sulfate.

Cons/Side Effects - The effects of excessive sulfate in a reef aquarium are not fully known.

~B., who found it using Reef2Reef's handy "search" feature, located in the upper right corner of your screen . . . (~_^)

I'm not saying that. I'm saying it's difficult to do properly and that it might not work. My point was that there are better ways with a better chance of success. Hypo has and does cure ich, but not always and only when done correctly.

what about treating melafix or pimafix???for fin rot infection etc

I've not had any luck with them in a saltwater setting. They might be useful for a very mild infection though.. maybe

+1 I've had some success using Melafix to treat mild infections; however an argument could be made that the fish's natural immune system was responsible for the recovery.
