Woke up this morn to see my clownfish covered in ich, white spots all over like she was dipped sugar;

did a water change and dropped salinity to 1.015.
Came home from work 10 hours later and her body is clean, no spots at all.

does ich fall off so quickly?

anyone been through this?

When the infection first starts, all of the parasites are in sync, so they drop off more or less in unison. As the infection continues, the spots become more numerous and then you’ll see them all the time.
1.015 isn’t low enough to cure ich, you need to get to 1.009 for 30 days. Of course, invertebrates and some algae can’t go that low and 1.008 is too low for some fish, so you must have a very good way to measure it.
I have a post on hyposalinity at the top section of the fish disease forum if you want more info.

Ty;
This morn again sugar coated, at end of day clean; dropped salinity a bit more to 1.012
