Added 2 clowns Tuesday night. I didn't quarantine. Friday night I noticed some white spots on one (top pic). Saturday morning the spots were gone (bottom pic). Is this Ich?
From what I read is that the parasites stay on for longer than 1 day before they drop to the bottom.
Ant opinions?

It could be ich, my clowns have had it before but never anything serious. Just continue to feed the fish well and everything should work itself out; quality food makes a big difference, you could also treat with focus and metro to be safe.

The white spots of ich or velvet are not the parasite. They are the mucous wound left on the skin after the parasite drops off.

Alright. Sounds like my fish are going to a QT tank when it's done cycling.

Thanks. I'm going for eradication since I only have 3 fish. (2 clowns and a YW goby)
And now my 5 gallon display tank has snails, hermits, and some corals.
Just set up the QT today. Gonna check parameters tomorrow and go from there.
