Ich or velvet on Achilles tang?

Hey guys. Got this achilles 2 weeks ago and he's been in quarantine. He's eating and breathing well, but now I noticed the white spots. The spots look smaller than ich so I'm afraid it could be velvet. But he's been for 2 weeks alone so I guess he would be dead at this point if this was velvet.
Is it ich? That's what I'm hoping, so I can quickly treat him with hyposalinity for a month and then in observation for another month.

As typical with this fish, it's ick. Freshwater dip is a first recourse. The main difference is that Marine Velvet primarily attacks the gills and lungs of the fish, making it far more deadly. Marine Velvet also has a wider and less pronounced white patch than Ich.
Copper is best treatment but is also a poison that can be compared to chemotherapy for fish. It is often deadly to fish at unregulated levels or if a fish is too weak when the treatment begins. If you are going to use copper, have a test kit available to prevent overdose.
Copper will only kill the saltwater ich parasites in the free swimming stage while they are searching for a host. Because it is not possible to kill Crypto during the feeding or reproduction stages your goal is to break the cycle directly after the feeding stage.

Crypto, and you should start treatment asap. Has it been through any treatments yet while in quarantine? This fish pretty much requires it

Thank you guys. I'lm starting now the hyposalinity treatment. Have had bad results with copper on acanthurus, but all good with hypo.
