Ich or velvet?

Is this velvet or ich? It kinda looks like ich to me but want another pair of eyes to double check.

That's normal, the spots are not the actual parasite but evidence of it's presence. It's life-cycle is such that it drops off of fish, encysts on a hard surface then releases back into the water to hunt for a fish to feed on and start the cycle over again.

Ich does that. If it were velvet, it would be dead by now!

ich... dont get confused because the spots are gone... treat your fish accordilly

Question about this. Can a fish show just 1 spec, then not a few days later? Would that be ich?

Maybe, but I would assume it to have been a grain of sand.

I was just curious. Had a possum wrasse that showed that every now and then. After 2 years it disappeared.
