Hello, I have a 36 gallon tank which I purchased about 4 months ago. I recently spent about $100 on fish. They all died of ich. I also have 5 snails. I was given copper treatment by local fish store only to find out it will kill the snails. So my question is can I reintroduce the snails at any point after treatment? There are currently no fish in the tank. I also read that you should never treat your main tank? I'm so confused! Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!!
Thanks

If you are going to treat with copper and wish to keep inverts or corals, you will need to treat your fish in a separate quarantine tank. Otherwise the copper will get absorbed into the rock, etc of your display tank and then leaches out over time. It can keep you from having inverts or corals in your tank. If all fish have died, you can leave your tank fallow for 76 days and the ich will die off on its own. Check out the sticky threads on this link. It can help you further.
