I have a 125 g/ 40 g sump and a 20g quarantine tank. I recently had a massive ich outbreak this week that killed 4 clowns, 3 chromes, 1 blue tang. I currently have a yellow tang, 3 chromes, lawnmower, and diamond goby that has survived. I was on a work trip this week so I didnt catch it in time. They all died in the tank and I cant find any of the remains. The yellow and chromes seem to be in good health and i'm constantly feeding them with garlic and a vitamin boost called SELCO.
The parameters were normal last night i cant remember the results exactly but ill be performing another test shortly and ill follow up with the #'s onto this post.
I recently ordered a yellow eye tang and a flame angel online a couple weeks ago which arrived today. This is my first time dealing with ich since I started the tank one year ago. What should I do in the quarantine tank? I currently filled the 20g with 20% my main display tank and 80% of saltwater blend/RODI water. I'm currently acclimating the fish but how long should I keep them in the QT and what should I do in my main tank.... BTW I have a few corals in the display - duncan, 3 acans, hammer, zoas and a goniopora.
