After a recent outbreak of ich I set up a quarantine system. My question. How do you get the ich out of the main display All reviews I see show how to set up and treat in quarantine. Can’t find out how to rid it of the display. The tank has corals and inverts in it.

The only way to get it out of the display is to let the parasite die out. This is done by letting the display go fallow (no fish) for a minimum of 76 days.

Wow. That’s a long time. But if that’s what it will take so be it. Thank you.

It is, i'm currently going through it myself. About 3 1/2 weeks to go lol

Yep, you just have to wait for it to starve out.
Usually, ich's life cycle will take a couple to a few weeks. There is a lot of variability in the cyst stage of its life cycle. 76 days fallow would give nearly 100% confidence that it's gone.
