Hello everyone,
I am looking to set up a QT to treat my last surviving fish with ICH so my 55 gal mixed reef can go fallow to kill off the Ich. My question is would you recommend the hypo salinity treatment and kordon ich attack together? Fish is a pajama cardinal.
Thanks, Scott.

Reefing is like a box of chocolates, you never know whatcha gonna get!

I personally have never mixed the 2. I had great success with hypo salinity and not much luck with ich attack. I would think you might want to try only 1 of them first since too much stuff might stress out the fish.

Maybe I will just stick to the hypo.

Here is what I do when I treat for ich. This has worked very well for me and others over the years. Quarantine the affected fish, lower the specific gravity to 1.016, and treat with Seachem's Cupramine. I like to run the copper levels at .25. Be sure to purchase a copper test kit to make sure you aren't using too much or too little. The lower specific gravity will slow down the reproduction of the ich and the Cupramine will wipe it out. I've never been a fan of products like Kick Ich, or Ich Attack. They are more homeopathic remedies that don't always work. Be sure to use an air pump and air stone while treating with coppe (Cupramine). The copper can be a little rough on the fish's gills. Cupramine is by far the safest to use as it's not has harsh on the fish. Good luck!

i would just use a copper medication in the the qt tank,I dont like the hypo salinity to stressful imo.
