ICH.......routes to take?

Looking at the pictures again, there is a white spot on his side in the second and third pictures...Is that accurate? That spot looks more crypt-like to me than velvet. What do the fins look like?

on second pic there is coralin on glass

That very much looks like classic velvet to me. I agree wtih the idea to move everything over the 120 and use the 40 breeder as QT. Use Coppersafe and treat them all. The link that was posted with info on velvet also has the treatment protocol in it.

X2 this looks and sounds like velvet. Velvet can turn a fish in to a zombie with gill damage long before you see spots.

Some fish can survive weeks with velvet but almost none will build immunity. Some wrasse can be the exception-- but they'll still be carriers that allow for new fish to be infected and killed off. This is because they allow the parasite to breed and continue its life cycle, in small numbers. A sitting duck is added and in a few days it gets out of hand again and if it reaches critical mass could even kill the highly resistant fish.

+1, You can really see it in that picture. I thought that's what I saw on his fins in the other picture but I wasn't sure.

ok. after work the 120 is going up. idk how im going to get the pistol shrimp lol.

Just remove and treat the fish. The crabs, snails, coral, and other inverts are unaffected.

He's moving everything but the fish to an upgrade and using the current tank as a HT.

Yes, all the CUC will have to go too. Everything but the fish. You can throw some PVC fittings or cheap freshwater decorations in for hiding spots and so they can establish territories while they are there.

Once you pull the rock out you should be able to get the shrimp pretty easily with a net or specimen cup.

Yes thank you for the correction. Losing my mind!

Most brands will work, but not all copper products are the same.
Some copper products are ionic copper which require a therapuetic range of 0.5ppm. Seachem Cupramine falls into this category. Ionic coppers tend to be a little harsher. Other copper products, like Coppersafe, are chelated coppers. These copper products are my preference and need to be kept at 2ppm. You also need to get the right test kit because not all test kits work with all coppers. Here is some more detailed info.

Copper Power is just fine and it is chelated. You will want the API test kit and keep it at 2.5ppm for the therapeutic level.

There are several threads on here about using CP. That's the route you want to go with a puffer.

yea if i can get CP is the only issue. i was told you have to have a prescription
