How is this possible? I'm using coppersafe and hanna checker.

New spots have appeared. They have been in therapeutic copper levels for 4 days.

It’s possible that the fish were infected before you started treating. Ich cycle can last up to 7 days and tends to get worse during that period. Copper only affects free swimmers not ich on the fish.

If after 7 days it doesn’t get better then I would suspect it maybe is not ich.

Ahh ok. They had ich before which is why they are in QT. However, old spots dropped off, and new areas popped up while in therapeutic copper

Theres always a bit of lag. Throponts become more visible the longer they are attached to the fish epithelium - due to both scaring and life cycle.

If after a week the spots aren’t mostly gone then either the checker is off or it’s not ich.
