I've been treating my two young clownfish for ich in a ten gallon quarantine tank with copper for 2 weeks. No spots have been visable for 8 days. They are both active and eating well. My display tank 55 g. has no other fish or inverts, so I lowered the salinity and raised the temperature to about 93 degrees F. Im having trouble keeping the water parameters stable in the quarantine tank. How much longer do you think I should go before moving them back to the display?

Unfortunately, ich can remain present in the display tank for up to 76-90 days, hence why that is the generally recommended duration for a fallow period.
How often do you clean the qt tank? Sometimes it just takes a lot of frequent water changes to keep stability.

Couple of gallons of water change a day or every other day and you’ll have better stability. You want no ammonia and no nitrite. Nitrate can be tolerated by clowns. Also be careful the PH doesn’t drop. All of these things can be managed with frequent water changes. The more you do it the easier it gets.
