Ich/velvet mistake

purchased 1 hippo tang 1 yellow tang and 3 chromies. All are in quarantine and eating. LFS did not sell copper and vet has not agreed to prescribe chloroquine phosphate. No fish have visible signs of Ich or velvet and I was talked into purchasing rally and kick Ich as a supplement for my quarantine tank. After reading about it online I wish I had never purchased it. I did dose as directed as a precaution.

The hippo tang is a little pale and keeps hiding, but I assume that's from shipping stress. I knew better than to do this but the kids were super excited and we had driven an hour each way to get fish. I can't believe they didn't sell copper and worse that I let them talk me into a product I hadn't researched.

My question is if I do end up having one or both of these diseases could I start using copper now or will the existing product in quarantine affect the copper treatment. Same question for the chloroquine phosphate.
Order coppersafe on Amazon and when you need to use it change all of the water.

Edit just realized how late I was to this party, lol!

I was only going to change 50% of the water. I'd really only like to change 25% as the only storage and mixing station I have is one 30g food grade brute trash can. I have been running carbon for 24 hours.

I've been slowly adding the copper safe to qt. adding 10 ml per day. I'm over the dose of what the directions say by the test is coming out to .5-1ppm. I'll keep dosing till the test results are in line. The spots in my hippo tang are gone. I'm assuming I should keep dosing at 10-15 ml per day until I hit 1.75 ppm?

Also my prazipro came in. Can I treat at the Sam time I'm running copper?
I would wait until either the coppersafe is removed or at least a week or two after your fish are used to the copper and eating.

Do you have any rock in the QT or anything else which might be absorbing the copper? Carbon is out, right? No UV/skimmer?

I have a very small rock and a maybe 20 pieces of ruble the size of a marble for bio filtration. Can I just continue to add the copper until it's at the correct level.

That's fine. However, I would test every day to ensure your Cu level is remaining stable and not being absorbed.

I plan on it. It's a simple test. I don't know why I thought it would be. I've never tested for it before but for some reason I thought it would be a pain.
