Greetings,

I have the beginning of an Ich outbreak after moving my fish from my 55 to a new 75. I am fish only with live rock can I treat the whole tank without removing the fish or should I just monitor the outbreak and see if it passes?

Livestock;
Magnificent fox face
Clown
one spot puffer
3 pj cardinals
Anthias
Hawkfish
no inverts

Dont expect a parasite that reproduces to pass. The live rock will be impacted with recommended copper treatment and best if done in a separate quarantine tank preserving the rock
With the cardinals, you will want to treat in range of 2.0-2.25 for a full 30 days and monitoring the copper level with a reliable copper test kit
Can you post a video of the tank to assure it is ich and not velvet? Pics will help also and under white light intensity

Ich?

I had an outbreak over a year ago and lost several fish but the clown, fox face and cardinals were able to build up their immune systems and fought it off. I’m sure I’ve had ich in the tank just waiting for a stressful event to rear its ugly head.

Ive been reading forums for the last 2 hours and the general consensus is to qt the fish even with fish only.
If my fish start to show signs of not eating that’s the route I’ll take.

Thank you for your responses!!
