Ich?

What do you have in your display tank? If you have coral/inverts/live rock than you are pretty much out of luck without a qt tank. The only three proven methods for treating ich are hyposalinity, copper, and the transfer method.....all of which would require an additional tank (or two). The Ich parasite will remain in your display tank until it is left fishless for approximately 8 weeks. There are a few "reef safe" treatments but as most will tell you, they don't work. That being said, if that is your only option, they are worth a try I guess.

I hate ick i've had it in my tank twice and it seems like only when I add a blue tang it will kill your tangs it doesn't seem to hurt the other fish in my tank but the parasite will live with them if you can catch them do a freshwater dip good luck

As said if you have corals there is not you can do without removing fish. Hopefully the fish will continue eating and ward off the parasite. Some have used a garlic additive in their food which may help.

i have same prob at the moment... i've tryed rid ich twice with no help.. i have just got done useing parashield by sentry.. my yellow tank looks beautiful with no spots whats so ever!!! i got it at petco. i also have corals shrimp clam n numerous snails and crabs n haven't lost any.. good luck i know how frustrating it is.... one word of advice is turn off your skimmer.. mine is still going nuts three days after last treatment n am actually doing 10gal changes every two days on 130gal tank

Garlic helps boost the fishes immune system. You can raise the temp in te tank a bit which will help slow it down from spreading.

in a QT Hypo is the best least stressful way to rid your fish of ICH. The lower salinity pops the parasite, it can't survive in the low SG of 1.009.

If you don't wanna stress your fish then just keep them in the display tank and feed them good, Try to keep your hands out of the tank(besides feeding) until they get better, That's the best method for treating ich and it doesn't stress the fish at all like all those other methods will, You will get many opinions on this subject trust me lol,I use to do all those other methods mentioned and my fish just stressed more and died then some long time reefers gave me some advice and it was to just leave the fish alone and it will be fine, Ever since Iv done that I have never lost a fish and never stress about ich at all, It's really easy for a fish to fight ich off but when you start trying to catch him and take him out of the tank then it just makes things worse imo, like I said you will get many opinions just research deep and find out what works for you
