Is this ich. I caught all my fish and placed them in qt. Hate 76 days
I did not qt my corals from my local fish store. I thought I probably should not by corals there as they always put their fish in the coral tanks but against my better judgement splurged during their sale. Hope my other tank is fine. I put one coral in there

Yes, and it sounds like you're on the correct path already :) 76 days fallow, and 30 day copper treatment in a qt tank for all fish potentially exposed whether they're showing symptoms or not

thanks. actually minus 7 days since I started last Sunday. One week in copper, not great pic, my yellow clown has no spots.
Once I finish the 30 days copper do you all just remove the copper. I tend to just do water changes and slowly dilute out the copper. for the rest of the fallow

Water changes, poly filter, or cuprisorb

You have to mix tgis with the food and is100 % reef safe just put the amount of food little by little so they don't go down

There is, to date, no proven reef-safe cure for ich.

Dr. G's Antiparasitic claims its active ingredient is Chloroquine Phosphate, which is supposed to be prescription-only in the U.S.A. CP can be sourced from China, from what I'm given to understand - but its strength and purity is unknown from those sources. CP isn't reef-safe in an in-water form, and I'm not sure that I trust it as a feed - even if it works on the parasites, it can't begin to affect them until they've already burrowed into your fish and begun to feed.

I could not have said it better. Also, that looks more like velvet to me..

A couple of questions, then ...

How long have you used Dr. G's?

Do you find that you could use it for a little while (a month or three) and then discontinue permanently, or are you continuing to find it necessary?

Do you feel that it's eliminated ich and other parasites from your tank, or that it's helping you to control them?
