I just got a new clownfish. I kept him in my tank to only realize he has ich. I removed him straight away. He was only in the tank for 5 minutes. Will the other inhabitants be fine? Also I don’t have another tank so he is in a small bucket with water now and an air pump. How do I cure him and how long will it take?

I know I should’ve had a quarantine tank but I didn’t get a chance to start one. I will be starting one soon though.

Ich can both be on the fish and in the water I think. It only takes 1 to get into the tank. If it were me, I'd go fallow or dry everything completely for at least 24 hours and restart

You have to work under the assumption that the tank is now infected.

Ok. What is the best method to cure the fish?
