Hello, fellow reefers. Our new addition to our fish community, the display tank, has arrived and in the QT for about 9 days with no medication. Three days ago, three white spots appeared one spot on each side located on the fins and one on the body. We started treating the tank with General Cure (GC) and feeding the Potters Angel mixed into the food GC/Focus, the one spot on the body fell off. Not totally sure these spots are ich but hoping someone can help ID. Normally we use copper for the first 21 days and move onto GC but before we purchased the fish, our research said not to use copper on these angelfish, that copper was too harsh. Although, the other day I was reading and commenting on someone form and a member gave me a link to a fish treatment with guidelines, including a chart...awesome. The article stated we can treat with copper...but we are late into the game, I will have to remove the GC and start copper...which I can do.
