Absolutely
Depends a lot on which fish your talking about.

An individual fish can fight off ich, but the parasite will still be present in the water and be able to infect new or stressed-out fish. This is where people reference ich management vs ich eradication. I'm going through this right now with a brand new display tank and fish that came into it with marine ich.
