I have a 120g tank that has been up for 2 months. The tank has two maroon clowns which have been in there for two weeks with no problems, over the weekend I added a blue hippo which gets along great with the clowns. The hippo has been eating fine and no aggression between the fish. I wake up today and the hippo's eye seems to have a film over it? He still eats heavily, any thoughts on this. I'm kinda worried considering I just spent 90 bux on him, I do not have a qt tank.

Temp 78-79
Nitrites 0
Ph 7.9
Sal. 1.027

tangs are prone to it. feed him extra seaweed clips with garlic. on a side note 0 nitrates isnt necessarily a good thing. might be that your tank isnt fully cycled. a truly cycled tank will show some nitrate. check phosphates as well. good luck ich sucks!

I'm assuming it's not ich.. When the fish was first purchased he had a great color, now he is a bit on the pale side not as dark. He also hides alot more now, but he is still eating.

Most stores have medicated tanks which could be why he looked so food there and not so much in your tank.. At only 2 months old your tank is not mature enough to handle a tang especially ones like the hippo that are prone to diseases like ich...

He and the clowns got along great... The end result of my tank I want tangs, with that said any fish you guys suggest for the tank until I'm ready for them
