I always hope that I never have to come back here, but then again...I do. Anyway, hello! I have a sort of dilemma. I recently got an eviota (that I absolutely LOVE, the little guys adorable) that I stuck in a breeder on the top of my nano since he was so small. He acclimated pretty well, though I do believe that he was stressed coming into the tank because of a somewhat curious hermit crab and Blenny. So, after a day or so, I was feeding him, and I noticed a spot on one of his fins. I thought it was some sand or whatnot, but the next day, it had disappeared and I found another on his tail fin. The next day, That one had disappeared, and two more came up on his dorsal fin. Any ideas? I've just never seen ich or velvet disappear and reappear that fast...

It could very well be sand. That's why it's coming and going so fast. If you have a day where you can look at him several times during that day, then check where the spots are and if they are coming and going each time you look at him during the day.

The one reason I don't think it's sand is because on a chromis some decade or so ago, I saw similar symptoms. But that was when I was like ten, so my father told me it was ich. Haven't seen it since then. Sadly, the chromis died within nearly a week of getting it, thus my skepticism arose.
