Hey all,
I had ick on my fish at the end of September so moved all the fish to a hospital tank and treated them with cupramine. Used a Hanna tester and got to the therapeutic levels quickly. Kept them there for almost 3 weeks and then transferred the fish to another new tank (no sand or rocks, just pvc piping). Left them there for 5 weeks and then I was told that the almost 3 weeks was not enough, I had to do another 3 weeks, so did that with copper power this time. Dosed copper power at between 2.2 and 2.4, kept them there for just over 3.5 weeks and then finally gave all fish a bifurin dip and into the main tank they went. Main tank had been fallow for over 11 weeks so that should have been enough to clear all ick? So fish have now been in the DT for approaching 2 weeks and I spotted 1 single white spot on the fun of my powder brown tang. It’s not scratching or rubbing or anything out of the ordinary. None of the other fish have anything and I suppose I might just be being paranoid. I did add an acropora (after dipping), I had not brought up my invertebrate QT in time. Attaching a picture of where this one spot is. It’s just on the top dorsal fin, you can just about make it out. Could this be ick back? Or could it be something else?
