I have had a yellow tang in quarantine for about 2 weeks now, it stared flashing and darting the first day but no visible sign of ICK spots. I am staring hyposalinity with the assumption that the fish has ICK, how long do I keep it in hypo? The Sticky thread said 2 weeks after you don't see anymore ICK, I am not seeing ICK to start with so what do I do?

I'd go four weeks of hypo and then monitor for a week after your salinity is back to normal.

No reason to treat for something that might not be there. If anything maybe run a low amount of copper, less stress on the fish imo

Hypo isn't stressful at all if you go slow. Yellow tangs also tolerate copper pretty well. Either way you should be fine.

I think I am going to procede with the hypo, the fish has to be darting and scratching from something.
