First, this forum is awesome - discovered it during reef-a-palooza. It was my first time at the show and I was hooked! I purchased a very good setup on craigslist for a very good price - all top of the line from pump to lights. I am still a complete noobie so excuse my questions as I have a ton and I've been reading more than I've had in quite some time. I love the hobby although it can get quite expensive. I don't want to seem like some community leach - I've already even purchased some phytoplankton from a fellow user ;) That being said I post my second question...

The hammer seems to have stunted in growth compared to another hammer I have (purchased around similar staging). There are spots all over it (I do not recall them being there.... or is my mind playing tricks?) Is the white stuff - ick?

Oh no........are you serious.......
The Hammer Ick

Nah, corals are inverts and don’t get ich ever.
The spots are probaly due to a feeding schedule or a light issue.

Ich is a fish disease, so no it isn’t that :)

I don’t see any spots. It looks like it has a light splatter coloring to it. Which is really nice.

I figured it was a fish only disease but the color seemed washed out lol
I took some better photos on my Canon M6 vs Samsung S9; posting soon

mid. actually i think they look fine after looking at others
