Picked up 4 fish last night and put them in the observation tank. They came in the bags....straight from the airport. I picked up 1 Lubbock wrasse, 1 blue sided fairy wrasse, a melanarus wrasse, and a blue hippo tang. Didn't have a close look at them last night, as I got them late, and didn't want to traumatize them....so after acclimation, into the observation tank they went, put in a little food, and lights out. This morning, I noticed two white spots on the blue hippo....one on each side (different places), in the black stripe area. Being new to this salt water fish gig....I'm not sure what they are....ick? Or something else. I'm ready to do the TTM of quarantining, but want to make sure I'm treating the correct thing?

I'm attaching a short video....hopefully someone can take a look - and see what I'm seeing, and give advice. If the video isn't good enough...let me know...and I'll try again. She keeps swimming away from me and behind her pvc pipe....so its hard to get a good look.

In the screen shot...it looks fuzzy...but its in the middle of the lower blue stripe, and looks 'raised'.

ps....all the wrasses look fine.

That diffuse white spot? Too large to be ich, probably just minor trauma from the shipment. Be sure that you ammonia level is being minimized, the water seems a little murky to me.
I’m not a big fan of TTM because it mainly is effective only against ich, and new fish can have other issues. Still, copper as an alternative isn’t favored by wrasses, so there is that. Don’t dilly dally though, you want to get some preventative in place right away.

Thanks! Ammonia is 0ppm....Not sure why the water is murky. It doesn't look that way in person. I'll do a water change tomorrow just to make sure. (and put in some Prime tonight - just in case - while the water mixes) What preventative do you recommend....considering the wrasses? Should I put them in a separate QT? And treat the Tang differently?

Any advise is welcome!
