I started treating with Polyp Lab Reef Medic because initially I thought it was ick... now I’m second guessing my self as it’s gotten severe. A ton more noticeable than in pictures. Only signs other than the spots are the yellow tang I caught brushing against the glass twice and swimming sparatically once afterwards. They both have a great appetite and act normal. Ick or velvet ? Would I be safe to dose PraziPro with it ??? HELP NOVICE

It's actually difficult to tell on the yellow tang, but on the sailfin it does look more like ich. Poly Lab Reef Medic at best supports the slime coat of the fish, if anything. It's not a way to effectively treat ich or velvet --- if fish seem to improve with its' use, it was just their own natural immune response, most likely.

The yellow tang has an awful lot of spots it appears, ich isn't typically that numerous-- particularly on a zebrasoma tang which is a pretty hardy genus of tang. It is possible you're dealing with both.

Looks like according to pic- Both.
Start with freshwater dip and then treat in quarantine tank using copper or hyposalinity or both

So I continued with just the Reef Medic but read It’s best used an hour before lights on and an hour after lights off (when the free swimming stage is most active). After a few doses at those times the fish have looked healthier than ever! I pray this isn’t just part of the cycle but they are very active, eat like crazy & are spot free! Thank you for the replies. I also did a 20 gallon water change via gravel vac!
