Ok, so I have been treating what I thought was ick, but now I believe it to be velvet. My Batfish was covered in white spots, but today he releases a mucus with the white spots. Also both it and my angle have some scaring. Here is the thing, this has been going on for about two weeks. Other fish are infected, but everyone is still eating. For about the last 10 days I held my gemp at 82, but reduced it to 78, because I am noticing behavior changes in my fish. I am also reducing salinty. I did one round of fresh water dips, but it is too stressful. I now have 3 skunk shrimp and on bluestreak erase. Cleaning stations have been very busy, but seem to be slowing.

Is the mucus the release?

In the end, everyone is still eating and swimming.

Just interesting

You may be dealing with Brooklynella. Early Brook and velvet can look the same, until you start seeing a sloughing off of the skin = Brook.
