I think I may have ick in my tank as two of my fish have suddenly stopped being active for no clear reason and another of has some white specs on it. I do not have the resources to quarantine fish, how do I get ride of the ick?

The only real chemical treatments will pollute your tank forever. It will kill shimp and all other inverts forever.

So that's it then? Tanks ruined, everything is just going to die?

Ich can be managed in a tank but it will not go away ever as long as fish are in the tank.

Ick in most cases can only be defeated when the DT has no fish hosts for 72-76 days.

There are no in DT meds that will work.

Having a SW tank requires a QT at some
point, maybe 50 bucks, or the cost of say 1-2 fish

My QT, simple, not cycled , glass, heatet, desk lamp sponge filter....

You sound like me when I catastrophize everything :)

First, pics will help to confirm its ich. If its ich you will have to remove all the fish from the DT and treat with copper, while the DT remains fishless for 76 days.
