So I went with them because they were cheap and relatively local. I sent in two tests. My Ro water and my Tank water and used their labels. They sent two emails telling me the tests are done. On the results page there is only one test, my RO water because it is practically zero across the board. I see no way to access my other test, the tank. I mean that's what I was really paying for, the RO water was just a bonus.

However, suspect, my bromine is 62.64 from RO! Br is Bromine and they have all the elements listed by symbol and their names. However Bromine is just Br. There is no way with filtration, a five stage Spectrapure bromine can be that high. My city's water report has bromine at 44-52. So why isn't the ro/di removing it? I'm fairly bummed with this service. There was no instructions, format is lazy, they don't explain anything, and I am missing a test. Don't be lured in on price, skip this and go with a better company.

@Rick Mathew might have a thought on this subject

Did you send one vial of each type of water, from the same test kit box? They only test one vial, and only use the other as a backup if something goes wrong with testing the first vial.

So they made an obvious error and didn't give you access to the second test, and instead of sending and email to see what the issue was...... you instantly came here to complain?

Am I not following this correctly....

The advertisement said, Free Ro water testing with each kit! In the package came no instructions, two vials, and two stickers, one sticker said RO/DI and the other was blank. So I filled the RO/DI with RO and the one that was blank was my actual tank water. So what am I supposed to think? Maybe if this company gave you some instructions?

And yes I came here wondering why my bromine is so high. And yes I am going to complain because in this hobby there are a lot of scams. But thank you for taking time out of your day to complain about my complaining.

My advise is to do some searches on ICP-Analysis and go from there. I personally only use ATI and out of the 5 I've sent in they are always consistent. I note down the time of day I pull the water sample, align it a minute or two before my trident pulls a sample, and when the results get back I can compare Trident with ATI and even a manual check and everything is golden.

That is a lot of Bromine in RODI water!...I too would be suspicious of those results....

Have you contacted the vendor about your Lost Test?...

The issue is there is no "benchmark" to help us know what to expect from the test results with regard to accuracy and precision of any of the individual elements.......Take a look at this article I posted some time ago about testing tank water....look for the part "ICP TESTING" I think it is the last section,,. Dude I'm such a sucker. The whole free RO thing was like OK cool, but now I can't find anything with that promotion. The label clearly says RO/DI. I should have just gone with another company like that one in Germany. Now that am I reading reviews, very clear I made a bad choice.

I did but after reading reviews, I may not ever hear from them...LOL. I did contact Spectrapure as well. It was the only thing not zero next to silicates.

Personally, I'm rather fond of ATI's ICP service. It's faster, it tests for more, it's cheaper, they include the return shipping label with the kit, and they test your RO/DI in addition to your tank (standard, it's not a promo). Trident is just fine as well, but I've used both and I found ATI's service better.

Wow that's not good!...You paid for a test you don't have the data for!!

let me know what you think after you get a chance to look at the article...Would be interested in your feedback.

Triton is very quick now as they have a CA based test facility for ICP (shipping also included). I've used ATI and Triton and trust both of them.

I think you may be jumping to conclusions very quickly. I have used them probably 20 times, if not more, and always get my results (reliable results too, compared to ATI or home kits). Get results same week too. Typically its practice to call a company if you are unable to access the results, so they can fix the issue?

Sorry, I did not mean to say or suggest you made a wrong decision. ATI includes RO/DI. Just something to be aware of should you continue to use these sort of tests in the future. I believe they have their place but they also have some questions, regardless of who we use, regarding their own quality control and processing / handling standards.

There are a couple articles here one of which I believe @Thales was part of that did a great job of discussing ICP tests. The comment section is also a good read.

I contacted them, but I don't expect a response. I hear back from the IRS faster! :p No really, it's just so weird. No instructions at all. It's cheap though, so just fill both tubes with tank water!

I just used ATI's service.
The tank water data was completed a few days before the RO water data. I think if you just wait a few days, your tank water data will be posted.

Might be a useful thread to read through. The owner responds throughout.

So can make up your own mind on them.

I also use ati when i have had a concern on something i can’t or unwilling to test myself for.

Holy crap! Read the reviews on Great White Botteling company (address I sent test to)! Horrible! F rating with BBB. This is the same owner of this ICP test. No wonder the whole operation feels half arsed. Yeah lesson learned. Avoid at all costs.

Yup can confirm, same owner, same address. Wow. I'm going to ignore that bromine now.
