I just received my ICP-Analysis.com results. My salinity is off compared to my pin-point monitor which is spot on per their calibration fluid. I will verify against my LFS. Feedback would be greatly appreciated on results. Thanks

Why are you worried then. Icp does the same tear you do but it’s shipped etc etc. I am not sure alk is best measured

Is this the same fluid you got with your meter? It's entirely possible that water has evaporated from the standard over time, making it more concentrated. This would explain why your salinity is high.

Do you have a kitchen scale? If so, you can make your own salinity standard per Randy's article. Be sure to follow the directions for a conductivity standard:
To make a 3.29 weight percent sodium chloride solution, dissolve 1 teaspoon (6.20 grams) of Morton's Iodized Salt in 182 mL (182 g) of freshwater (making a total volume of about 184 mL after dissolution of the salt). This solution can be scaled up as desired.

If you want to make a larger batch of solution with a 2 liter bottle, you can:
1. Measure ¼ cup of Morton's Iodized Salt (about 73.1 g)
2. Measure the full volume of a plastic 2-L Coke or Diet Coke bottle filled with purified freshwater (about 2104.4 g)
4. Add 3 tablespoons of purified freshwater (about 45 g)
5. Dissolve the total salt (73.1 g) in the total water volume (2149.4 g) to make an approximately 3.29 weight percent solution of NaCl. The volume of this solution is larger than the Coke bottle, so dissolve it in another container.

Thanks for the input about the salinity level. I will make a solution as the one I have is a year old.

Aside from the that what are your thoughts on the other levels like Bromine, Iodine, and Strontium which were noted as low.

thanks again for feedback

BTW sorry-i misread salinity as alkalinity. Doesn't it make the most sense that the ICP results are 'wrong'? (salinity wise)

The potassium looks a bit high but everything else does look a little low. Especially with your salinity elevated. I don't see anything I would consider a problem.
Here is a reference for pretty much everything you can test for in seawater you can use to compare.

I just got results from them on Friday. I did not have any of the items in red though. Also the names are not there only the symbols. This is through their app. It will not let me export it on the browser in this form.

What web browser were you using? I tried Firefox and Edge and neither will export in that format only a text file. I have an auto water change system and I go through 20 gallons in about three week on a 42 gallon tank at this time. I have high nitrate levels and I am trying to bring them down slowly so the water change is higher that it would normally be. That may be the reason for the numbers I got.

I use IE and login to ICP results and it gives an option at the bottom to download results or share results. Share results is a jpeg image.

The share button seems to do nothing on my computer or my iPad. The download button on the iPad get the image I posted.

Just as a reference, I just got my ICP-Analysis results back. They reported my salinity at 38.97ppt. Three pieces of test equipment I own all ready around 35ppt +/- 0.5. Kinda wondering how reliable their results are tbh.
