This is a mature tank that Ive had for many years. I had never ran an icp type test before, but i was having an issue with certain corals not expanding so i fugured I would give it a try. I was surprised my MG was so high since i test that regularly and have never been higher then 1280 with my red sea test kit. I know my salinity was a little high ive fixed that. Any input on any of the other items? This test doesn't really give you any info on the results so Im unsure what is a concern and what isn't. I ordered all new rodi filters after i seen these results. Ive neglected changing them lately.
Thanks
Thanks
I have never changed the membrane in the last 6 years or so and I don't change the other filters yearly for sure. I ordered all new filters and I'm just waiting for them to come in. Once they do I will swap them out and create a new batch of water and perform a few water change maybe every two weeks for maybe 6 weeks and see if things get any better. Overall my tank inhabitants look good and certain things most LPS, and softies and one pocilipora are doing fine. I can't keep other SPS's and my acan's look horrible and I ahve a hollywood stunner that isn't doing well and the Acan and the stunner aren't particularly difficult to keep so that made me realize something was wrong and is why I ran the ICP. I'm a little concerned about the Clorine and Arsenic being high, but Im not sure if those levels would impact my corals or not. Same goes for any of the other ellements that ICP didn't flag as high but Im not sure if they are an issue or not. I'm not worried about the MG or salinity thse are easy fixes and I don't think either is casuing a big problem. The salinity is already back down to normal I just ahd to calibrate my hydrometer. Any thoughts on any of the other ellements and their affect at my levels on my system would be appreciated.
