Has anyone dosed All for Reef long term with good ICP results? Currently my tank is running cleanly enough that I have no need to change water for nutrient export. I was wondering if All for Reef does a good enough job replacing trace element to reduce the need for water changes.

So - looking at my tank - it would cost about $0.85/day - at the starting dose. I assume that would probably double. So it seems insanely expensive (to me).

Second - Lets take vanadium. one of the trace elements. If you're doing no water changes - and whatever you happen to have in the tank isn't using vanadium - where is it going to go over time? It will go up. So - you're going to need to be doing ICP tests - and eventually - in all likelihood - water changes.

Lots of people love it - some people not so much. My comment is - if it sounds to good to be true - it probably is. I like the product overall - I personally would perhaps try the CA/Alkalinity solution - without the trace elements.

Yeah, I am really not trying to eliminate water changes I would just like to reduce them by quite a bit. Because of my line of work, during the summer months I am away from home weeks on end working wildfires. I am just trying to make my tank as robust as it can be so it can tolerate the inevitable neglect it is certain to get during my busy season. My wife likes to look at the tank, but not real great with the tank chores. It is running a bit too clean right now to the point where I need to dose nitrates/phosphates, have yet to figure out that part of it.
