How do my ICP results look? I use Red Sea salt

I think I may need to do less water changes and add more trace elements?

Zero Phosphates is not a good thing. Corals might be starving. I have LPS and my LPS look best at 0.1-0.2 bc they're feeding

Half of those elements flagging aren't reliable on any OES at target levels. Not sure why these companies pretend they can get down to .01 ug/L with accuracy.

But, if these were accurate then you’d be over dosed on some and depleted on others.

So should I listen to anything on this?

You’d be better off grabbing an OCEAMO OES or ATI OES.

If you want to see those elements in the “ultra trace” concentration range and receive a trustworthy result…I think OCEAMO-MS is the only to go at this point in time.

These elements below are not trustworthy on any OES even though they have the target levels listed and even go as far as listing the LLOD’s on their websites. Since they have them listed that implies to me that they “should be able” to get down at that level with accuracy, but sadly this is just not the case. I used ATI OES for a while and I still do in-between MS, because they’re cheaper than OCEAMO’s OES. I’ve been pretty confident with the results. There’s only be a few times where I got one valve that was very questionable. In that case I will not make the correction w/o first cross checking it. One time I had a high copper level and about 10 other guys did too. All of us were very low on previous trending. So we pretty much knew that was an error. Another time I had a zinc or nickel level that come back overdosed, I cross checked it, but that was accurate. Otherwise… they have been pretty darn good, but OCEAMO is even better because they filter the samples. Plus they directly measure PO4. It’s not calculated off the Atom P.

These are the elements that OES has a difficult time with:

Chromium 0.02 ug/l
Cobalt 0.02 ug/l
Iron 0.01 ug/l
Manganese 0.01 ug/l
Selenium 0.02 ug/l
