Wondering if some of you experts could take a look and let me know what you think. I was surprised me iodine was so low as I already do some drops of Lugol every week. Any other things stand out? Only thing the report recommended is vanadium and manganese, anyone have good product recommendations for dosing these?

I would use Seachem Idodine and not the Lugols. There are some posts about the differences. I also use Fauna Marin for Magnese (more bang for the buck with the size of the bottle) and ATI for vanadium.

I also noticed it says my nitrate is 256?! That doesn't seem possible, i regularly test that one and always come around 8. This was ATI, they ever known to have issues on nitrate? Overall my coral look happy

@Randy Holmes-Farley
Woah I passed right over that one.

I know Nyos if moisture gets in the 2nd reagent it reads low, but that discrepancy is pretty absurd.

However, our freshwater tanks are over 100 nitrates / immeasurably high, and not one organism has had a problem.

Yeah i could understand like 5-10% but thats like 500% more than what my at home tests read lol (i use hanna for nitrate, gonna double check another kit).

I've heard others recommend seachem over lugols so ill switch over for that. And heck all the BRS manganese supplements are expensive. Any food safe actual supplements work?

Iron and manganese strip very fast. I'd recommend a decent trace element mix, such as Tropic Marin A and K.

I do not know if you need additional iodine (it never seemed useful to dose in my tank; my levels were the same as you report when not dosing; algae and other organisms consume it rapidly), but the TM product has it.
