Fluval 13.5 nano tank
Up and running for 279 days at time of my ATI ICP tests.
RODI Sample was perfect (everything at ZERO)
Using Reef Crystals.

Silicone/Silicates are high.

I've used a light coating of molykote on the westside of the MP10 powerhead and I'm assuming its not water soluble but just curious if anyone thinks this could be an explanation for increase silicon levels on my recent ICP test.

Heres the components listed for DOW Molykote from their SDS:

Any guesses about silicone in the ICP analysis?

It's certainly possible. Unless you have a diatom problem (or you think those compounds are causing an apparent issue with your organisms), I would not worry about a silicon value.

I don't think Molykote is water soluble. They use it on the landing gear of planes. It blows out with the wind, but there is plenty left every inspection to get all over you.
