Icp test results and shrinking mushrooms

Had a issue with jawbreaker mushroom shrinking down to 1/3 their original size. Sent in water sample to be tested. Unsure if elevated aluminum or if something else is causing the shrinking.

Shrooms that are retracted typically have two main causes but not limited to; the lighting is too bright or nitrate levels are too low.

You would think mushrooms would puff up to take more light if nutrient levels are low just like some zoas reach towards light if nutrients are low. But they don't. They tend to shrink.

I would first try moving them to an area of lower light. Next, if your nitrate is 0.0 that could be another problem. As they grow and spawn they can acclimate to lower nutrient levels. Not seeing anything on that ICP test out of the ordinary.

Thank you very much for the response. I think it might be the light. My nitrate is elevated.
