I go my icp test results and I would like to post them..so I can get some pros looking at it with me..some of it is quite obvious..but I would like to talk with some folks who have done them and can talk about different parts with me.....can I get some real pros to look at it and talk with me about it..

Are you using tap water? The arsenic is high but your chlorine level is deadly to fish and corals!

Your also at 0 ppm for manganese which corals and macro algae need. There are also a few elements that are low but a good rodi system would have removed.

hitman...I am not using tap water. I have an Rodi system and according the the tds meter..my water is about 60 going in and 0 coming out..the chlorine is a mystery..I know you cant click on the screenshot but when i click on it..it actually says "low" not high..and it says do a water change to balance out..what is that all about?

I think when i sent this test in a couple weeks ago..I discovered my salinity had crept down to 1.022/1.023 perhaps that has something to do with why it says chlorine was low and sodium was low...I dont know anything about chlorine in an icp test at this point..i would assume its bad but its not ..apparently the chlorine is higher than mine in both fiji and hawaii icp recommends 19000 mine was 16200 ..im assuming this is part of the whole lower salinty thing..

I believe it is measuring the sodium and chloride ions. The main constituents of salt water. Controlled by salinity.

Most vendors do this. And some even provide what you really want from R2R: actionable advice.

You are not getting what you want here because we are playing “Where’s Waldo” in finding which elements may be out of range.

yes ..when you click on the element it shows acceptable ranges and so on...I was just wondering if anyone saw anything that really stood out as a problem..it basically says the arsenic is a little high ..the bromine is low..iodine is a little low..sodium and chlorine are low ( i assume these last two where off as my salinity had drifted down at the time i sent the sample..its just my first icp test so I liked the idea of experienced reefers taking a look at it...the site shows acceptable levels and such..chlorine is a strange one..its says mine is low..to do a water change to balance it out..im assuming his maybe has somthing to do with the sodium being a bit low and same recommendation..I have done a 25 gal water change...my salinity will be checked today but it should be 1.024 1.025 ish..which is ok for me..

As far as I understand it, the ICP test show the amount of each element contained in the water total. So chlorine isn't just elemental chlorine, but includes all the chlorine ions from dissolved chlorides, which plain salt sodium chloride is the main source in saltwater.
The elements in red (or reddish) are the elements that they consider as out of spec for a reef tank.
